We were at our friends-with-the-moose-antlers house again last week. L3 was downstairs playing when he decided he wanted to come upstairs to where I was. That meant he had to walk past the moose antlers. He called from the bottom of the steps, “Mommy! Up, peas!” I told him if he wanted to come up, then he needed to just come up.
There were a few minutes of silence and then we heard his feet coming up the steps and his soft voice, “Hi, Moose. Hi, Moose. Hi, Moose.”
Friend: “Now that’s a good lesson for us: name our fears and keep on going!”
