L1 (6yrs) slightly confused while watching a musical: Mom, everyone in this world knows the same song.

Mom to boys, pointing at trees in the early evening: What do you see in there?

Boys (taking a breather excitedly): It’s light-up things!

L2 (4.5yrs) to Manya as he measures her wrist with a ruler as part of a health check-up: I’m measuring you. Let’s see… forty-two dollars.

Note: the “forty-two dollars” was the measurement of her wrist, not the price of the check-up.

L2 (4.5yrs): I was using my balance! But… sometimes it runs out.

Sometimes I wish I could capture all of L2’s impromptu songs.  He’s 4.5yrs old and randomly starts singing songs in the car or around the house.  Sometimes they make more sense than others.  I think his “God had a wonderful plan for Jesus” song was his best —  so glad I got that one recorded.  Here’s the random one that he was singing today.  I think he has his creation days off just a bit…

When God made the earth, He planted seeds
God actually didn’t plant seeds; people did.
But on number seven He rested
And on number one….
He…. he… he…..
Made the light. Darkness.
On number two, God made the seas and the clouds and the rain.
On number three….. [mama couldn’t keep with the song lyrics]
On number four, he separated the light from the darkness.
On number five… do you know what he created on day five? You’ll have to guess.
Sea creatures.
Actually, that was day six.
