L1 singing with the guitar: Your heart won’t stop coming after mine.
Only at Day
L2 (4.5yrs) was talking with a spring break trip volunteer, an older gentleman, who was hanging out at our house. L2 went on and on and on about his homeschool art project and his stuffed dog and how his dog might lick the man and about chess and the rules of chess and….
Gentleman to me (referring to L2’s continual conversation): I’m dizzy just listening to him. Does he talk this much all the time?
L2 promptly answered: Only at day. At night, I sleep.
But I’m your best friend…
The boys were splitting a bowl of blueberries.
L1 (5yrs): You don’t want that last blueberry, do you?
L2 (4yrs) gobbles it up
L1: But I’m your best friend ever!
L2: Yes, you are my best friend ever, so you can have my pizza. *holds out leftover pizza crust*
L1 declined….
On an open container of Smarties
L1 (5yrs), while getting a jolly rancher snack, also saw an open package of Smarties.
Mom, I’m going to get this [jolly rancher], but I also need to eat these [Smarties] before they go bad. The package is open and the pieces will go bad and someone might eat them and get sick. I don’t want someone getting sick, so I will eat them now before they go bad.
