L2 playing quietly with a toy
L1 comes up to L2: L2, do you want to play with that toy all the day and not share it with me?
L2 (preoccupied): mm-hmm
L1 comes whining to mama in emergency mode: Mommy! He said he’s going to play with that toy all the day and not share it with me!!!
Me to L2 (3yrs): Come on – let’s go outside.
L2: No, I’m an inside man.
L1 (4yrs) looking at a flattened cardboard car from Steak n Shake: Oh no! Someone damaged it!
L2 (3yrs) with hand gestures: No, I flatted it!
L2 (3yrs) watching grandma crack nuts: It’s like a cannon! Only with nuts!

Little boy–in the middle of changing clothes–running into the room where I’m nursing the baby. “Mommy! Our two legs connect to our bottom!”
L1 (4yrs): Mommy! Jesus and my body are both inside me!
Me to L2 (3yrs): How about you pick up the toys in the living room?
L2 to me: How about YOU pick up the toys in the living room?
